El ACSR es un conductor trenzado de alta capacidad, utilizado principalmente en líneas de energía aérea.
El término ACSR significa «Conductor de Aluminio Reforzado con Acero», un conductor trenzado que incluye varias capas de alambre de aluminio sobre un núcleo de acero galvanizado. El núcleo de acero puede ser un solo alambre o varios, dependiendo del tamaño. Estos conductores están disponibles con diferentes grados de galvanización, como Clase A, B y C, para proteger contra la corrosión.
